Jin Wang, Ph.D. | Postdoctoral Fellow

Jin Wang, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow studying the neural basis of language and reading development at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Jin got her Ph.D. degree, in May 2022, in the Psychology and Human Development at Vanderbilt University, mentored by Dr. James Booth. During her Ph.D., she has two lines of research. One is about the neural specialization development for phonological, semantic, and syntactic processing at both the word and the sentence levels. The other one, which is her dissertation topic, investigates the longitudinal relationship between the neural basis of phonological awareness and reading skill in developing children ranging from 5 to 10 years old. During her post doc, she will continue her research interest in the relation between language network and reading skill, but in even younger children from infancy to beginning reader. In addition, she will expand her area of expertise with a new line of research investigating the neural mechanism of reading and math development.
